Wales Boys U17 National Squad

For the Sainsbury’s School Games in Manchester in 2015

 

Who: Boys born after 1st of September 1997 – some volleyball experience desirable but not necessary

When: Sunday, 22 March 2015

Where: Sport Wales – Jubilee Hall (ask at reception),  Sophia Gardens, Sophia Close, Cardiff, CF11 9SW

Time: 4pm to 6pm

What to bring: Sports clothes, shoes, kneepads and drink.

We are looking for boys who have the potential (through lots of hard training) of playing Volleyball for Wales at the Sainsbury’s School Games in Manchester (3-6 September 2015) and ultimately the CEV European Championships in 2016.

The Sainsbury’s School Games are a multisport event and seek to create an inspirational and motivational setting that not only provides our elite young sports people with the opportunity to thrive and perform at the highest levels, but encourages more young people to take part and succeed in sport.

In Volleyball national squads from Scotland, Northern Ireland, England and Wales are competing.

1600 of the nation’s finest Athletes competing

12 Current Olympic Sports (such as Athletics, Swimming, Badminton, Hockey, Wheelchair Basketball and of course Volleyball)

Over 450 volunteers

Over 25,000 spectators
