The Sainsburys School Games is a multisport event which has been running since 2008. The 12 sports provide opportunities for athletes, coaches, managers and officials to take part in a large, multidisciplinary event over three days in Sept. This year, the event will be held in Loughborough between the 1st and 3rd September 2016.
Volleyball Wales are looking for Volleyball Coaches (Head and Assistant) and Team Managers (for both squads) to lead and develop the U17 Boys team to take part in the competition.
Coaches need to be qualified, have a current DBS certificate, have some real experience of coaching / playing volleyball and be able to provide a positive influence within the squad. The coaches should be able to work in a challenging but rewarding environment, be able to offer expertise and inspiration to the squad and be available to attend training and competition between now and Sept. Specific details will be discussed individually with the successful coaching team.
The Team Manager is the key point of contact for the athlete throughout the School Games. He/she will be responsible for all “non field of play” areas and the flow of communication between the National Governing Body (NGB) lead and the athlete. He/she will be in loco-parentis of athletes, and work with other UKSG team staff to ensure that the athlete experience at a multi sport and multi site event is positive, safe and well managed.
If you are interested in finding out more information about either position, or would like to apply to become one of the coaching team, then please complete the short application form and return it to Yvonne Perkins at email@example.com no later than the 15th Feb 2016.
