Wales formed a new Governing Body in April 2009, and has subsequently been recognised by both the CEV and the FIVB as Volleyball Wales (VW).

Volleyball Wales Vision 2009 - 2012

"To give identity and focus to Volleyball in Wales, through increased participation, opportunity and development pathways in a sustainable manner through engagement with key organisations and personnel at national, county and community levels by 2012"

Principle Aims for 2009/2010

1. To increase the number of young people and adults participating in volleyball within Wales.

2. To build player and talent pathways to support young people to develop and to provide appropriate level coaching resources.

3. To develop competition structures so that participants at all levels of the sport may achieve individual and team success.

All Officers are voluntary members who have strived to make the steps required in the early stages of any organisation to prepare the association for long-standing success at all levels within the sport.
